This essay will discuss how globalisation and the spread of information through mass communication has allowed the general public to be more knowledgable on the ancient, but continuous act of terrorism. It will also focus on how the knowledge on terrorism is sometimes only limited to Islamic terrorism and people can miss other perspectives from various religious groups, who also beget extremists, such as the Saffron Terror and the Westboro Baptist Church. ‘Contemporary Terrorism and the War on Terror’, by Colin Wight focuses on the spread of terrorism and the influences through the years that has made terrorism the way it is today. Wight places a heavy focus on ‘Islamic terrorism’ being a major part of ‘new’ terrorism, and how globalisation has increased the risk of terror, pressuring state actors to rethink their international security practices. However, while Wight has pointed out that Islamic terrorism is only one kind of terrorism, he omits in detail other perspectives the are present. Furthermore, Wight presents his idea of â€Å"war on globalisation† (Wight 2015, 206) as being similar to the war on terror, but fails to include the positive aspects of globalisation. Globalisation is a crucial part of contemporary terrorism, something that is very prominent in Wight’s article. However, Wight mainly presents globalisation as a negative aspect and something that encourages terrorist acts due to the spread of information. Wight fails to present the idea that this spread ofShow MoreRelatedWhy Is Medium Is The Massage Essay1528 Words   |  7 Pagesstylistic means, structuring, actually chosen words, and author’s charisma, which appears through the text, ensure the success of the perception of the author s position and the creating public opinion. Letters from Birmingham Jail by Martin Luther King and Keynote Address at the First Womans Rights Convention by Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony It was Thomas Jefferson who uttered the words That all men are created equal.... However, over one hundred years would pass before these words would mean anything. Equality among all Americans would come with the adoption of the fifteenth, nineteenth, and twenty-fourth Amendments. Before these amendments were passed not everyone had equal rights. African-Americans and white women had almost no rights at all. Their road to equality is large due to three very important†¦show more content†¦Martin Luther King used the same idea of unjust laws to justify his actions and nonviolent campaigns. He used this idea to answer the question of how he can support the breaking of some laws, but not others? His simple answer was that there are two types of laws, just and unjust, and an unjust law is no law at all. (80). He goes on to quote St. Thomas Aquinas, ...Any law that uplifts personality is just. Any law that degrades human personality is unjust. (80) and says that any individual that breaks an unjust law and accepts the punishment of imprisonment actually has the highest respect for the law. (81). King makes a very strong point in distinguishing just and unjust laws to advocate his actions, just like Stanton and Anthony do in their address. Martin Luther King also used religion and the bible to ascertain his reasoning. First, King uses religion to dispute the claim that his non-violent actions should be condemned because they promote violence. He does this by making a direct relation to Jesus. Isnt this like condemning Jesus because his unique God-consciousness and never-ceasing devotion to Gods will precipitated the evil act of crucifixion. (82). King makes a strong case by saying condemning him would be like condemning Jesus. King again uses religion when he is labeled as an extremist, by turning it into a good thing. He calls Jesus an extremist for love,

Product Creativity and Innovation Management

Question: Discuss about the Product Creativity and Innovation Management. Answer: Introduction The term creativity refers to the ability to generate ideas that are original or a new perspective of existing ideas. Creativity therefore is a function of knowledge, imagination, curiosity and the evaluation. (Audretsch Belitski, 2013) With creativity, companies can explore issues from a different perspective and formulate new ideas and solution to those problems. The managers should take specific action, which is aimed at building on the creativity in the organizations. On the other hand, innovation refers to the process of applying the new ideas towards the improvement of the processes within the organization, product or a service. In the end, innovation is vital towards success of any organization (Audretsch Belitski, 2013). These terms in a large portion of the cases are regularly utilized conversely as a part of the scholastic writing, following the scientists in inventiveness and the advancement originates from foundation that are distinctive and they neglect to highlight th e fundamental meeting. The field of innovativeness is more intended to the behavioural sciences while the field of development identifies with zones of administration, and open organization (Stacey, 2016). Nonetheless, based on these origins, these two terms have been used with similar or a difference in meaning, thus contradicting each other. In an organization setup both these terms work together as organization are able to turn new ideas into benefits that are tangible (Bateson, Bateson Martin, 2013). In the exploration, it will concentrate on development at a level of association by examining of what is viewed as association advancement. In any case, there is have to discover joint effort as a methods towards advancement in the association and how to create on the structure of the association, and its dynamic that will encourage people to be inventive and the association to be gainful (Hon, Bloom Crant, 2014). The creativity and innovation at a personal level As indicated by a researcher by name Woodman, he highlights that innovativeness can be seen either as a social viewpoint, which can be communicated by people understood hypotheses, hypothetical structure which are produced in that specific field. It is in this manner to infer that the build of the innovativeness was utilized as a part of the investigative writing to highlight something, which was seen by different people. From this is right to keep up that the inventiveness is the procedure, which result from the oddity that is, acknowledged as valuable, can be accomplished by a gathering of people eventually in time. The inventiveness for the most part fills the vast gap, that of the need to convey, and in the meantime to make new thoughts and obtain new learning (Bakhshi, Hargreaves Mateos-Garcia, 2013). The term learning is utilized on a wide setting to incorporate the aptitude, abilities and data. As new ones replace the old product in the organization, creativity is the identif ying concept on how things are done. Creativity in the organization drives entrepreneurship at every level thus anticipating of the profit early innovation of the product. Irrespective of whether the innovation is radical or incremental, the dynamism of creativity at an individual level has a cumulative impact on the process on the innovation. The imagination is a procedure. The person who is inventive buckles down and ceaselessly to enhance the thoughts and arrangements, whereby modifications and refinements that are progressive are made on the work they embrace (Morris, Schindehutte, Richardson Allen, 2015). There are few instances of inventive perfection, which are refined with just a solitary stroke of the brightness. Much nearer are the stories in which are known about association taking creation from the designer to market it since the creator would have just fiddled on it to improve it. An item is imaginative when it is alluded as novel. This involves an item that is unique and it is not predicable. Productivity entails an individual to be passionate and committed. An example of an industry that has made creativity is Dominique Ansel bakery industry. The owner of this bakery by the name Dominique has revolutionized the industry from his pastry ingredient to make the cupcakes and the whoopie pies. These products whe n he created them went viral and people in New York were waiting in line outside his bakery to have these products. This genius baker created a product that was evolutionally and everybody wanted to buy his tasty product. This product is novel since it is original and unique (Matzler, Bailom, Friedrich von den Eichen Kohler, 2013). Therefore, the bigger the product, the more will the product stimulate on the work ideals, and the more it will be creative. Nonetheless it is significant to recognize creativity as a concept that is self-attributed , and used by individuals to highlight the acts at every moments, in the sense of using implicit theories if the creativity (Skarzynski Gibson, 2013). Furthermore, it is essential to note that creativity lies in how every person organizes and incorporate on the perception of reality on his own. If you strive to master perfection, expression of your individuality, it will become an important for the construct of creativity. In the figure below, it shows a mind map that is used to complement and enhance on the creativity and innovation. On the mind map, it represents the ideas, tasks and items, which are linked and arranged radically around the central idea that is creativity. Figure 1: A mind map used to complement and enhance on creativity and innovation. On development, it is grouped into two classifications of person. Those that consider it to be the last item, which has been imagined, and the individuals who see is as a procedure, that starts after the conceptualization of another thought and detailing of the answer for the issue and completing on the new item. There unmistakable distinction that separates innovativeness and development is only a minor issue of the corporate connection, since the primary inquiries depends on the framework, which permit putting of the thoughts to be practice. A case of this is the creation of the renowned post it in 60s, when creator Spence Silver found the paste that is not changeless and throughout the years, he was unsuccessful to transfer and persuade the association of the utility of what he had developed. Not until 1974, when his companion and a partner Craftsmanship Broil, saw the estimation of that paste to stamp incidentally on his missal while at the congregation and could conquer the appr oach of the organization. In any case, in the wake of being created and marketed, they needed to further break resistance that was still there by offering of the item to both the interior and the outer clients. It is essential to note from this that in each demonstration that is inventive creating a thought, there ought to be a social demonstration, which is required to advance it in an association (Hatten, 2015). It is from this that it is on this reason in more often than not genuine development happens in an organization since they fill in as a group. In each advancement, it normally starts as a thought yet there ought to be a framework set up to develop the inventiveness of an individual and introduce the same on a gathering level. The gathering needs to take care of an assortment of the issues that may come about because of the reception, and the usage of the item. Creative Thinking The creative thinking entails the art of being able to generate solutions to the various problems through imagination and reasoning (Johnston Bate, 2013). It is usually an activity of the mind to find the solution or answers to some of the questions about life.in accordance to the dynamics and the changes that are occurring in this world, the challenges of an individual are not static. They are able to take new forms and they require creative thinking to solve the problem. In every idea is a product of the thinking and each of those products that are created were manifested just as an idea in the mind of a great thinker. Creative people are usually developed over time. In the world everything is changing and there are new challenges that are taking place. Individual needs to adapt and be creative to solve the problem that is affecting them. Some examples of creative genius that have made significant changes are Elon Musk he is the CEO and the CTO of the space exploration company kno wn as Space X. Another is Brian Chesky who is the innovator of AIRBNB online company, which allows individuals to rent space that is unused to guests such as the holidaymaker. These individuals have saw problems as opportunities. Therefore, they made the innovation to improve and do something that is new to improve on the life of other people. Other celebrated and discoverers innovators is not an accidents Grahan bell who made the telephone, Michael Faraday who made electricity, and Raymond Depokesi of the Dear Communications. Every individual can join them and make an invention we should not try to hire the creative geniuses it all in the mind. Everybody can be an inventor all it takes is an idea, on how to solve a given problem. I believe creativity and innovation should be greatly rewarded by giving credit to the inventor (Wang Wang, 2012). This has been happening in the current times as great people have been credited for their contribution like Bill Gates of Microsoft, Zuckenb erg of Facebook. When an individual displays their innovation, it is greatly appreciated by many since it will help solve a given problem that had existed before. Entrepreneur and the entrepreneurship An entrepreneur entails an individual who can actualize on their potential and aims at the development of character that is dependent rather than independent. The individuals creates the voyage of creating of the value by utilizing on the available resources to exploit on an opportunity (Bucherer, Eisert Gassmann, 2012). The mix of both creativity and irrationality is what makes the entrepreneurs to tick and account on their contributions that are positive. The concept of entrepreneurship is more than the business that is new. It entails the whole process in which individuals are much aware of the opportunities which exists to empowering them and the initiative that is required to achieve them (Steiber Alnge, 2013). The concept of entrepreneurship is a major key priority area with the potential to create a lot of wealth in an innovative and a way that is independent (Davila, Epstein Shelton, 2012). The concept of innovation is a successful development for the competitive advantage and it is a key in entrepreneurship. The entrepreneurs are the dreamer who takes the responsibility to create innovation (Trimi Berbegal-Mirabent, 2012). It is this aspect of innovation, which will distinguish the entrepreneur from the others. Therefore, the innovation should bring about competitiveness through an effort, which is aimed to rejuvenate and redefine an organization. The creative and innovative organizations The creative organizations should have systems that are complex, technical, social and political. The organization also needs to have leadership that has skills of appreciating on the knowledge of the individuals, and all the organizational levels all simultaneously (Im, Montoya Workman, 2013). In the creative organization it balances on the two offering integration; that id autonomy for the entrepreneurship and that of the individuals creativity (De Jong, 2013). The organizational requirement for the innovation may include the creativity, the internal communication, experimentation and learning. It can be exploited that having a close loops of feedback between the developers, the designers and the end user can majorly contribute to discovering new ideas and new concern (Proctor, 2014). There should be an effective communication that exists in the organization at the innovation process and the finding of the product and the service for testing. Implication of innovation and creativity in organization The creativity and the innovation are significant to success of the performance in any organization. These two components have become vital skills to achieve success especially to the developed countries. There is a rise of the creative problem solving concept as the management in today dynamic changing world requires insight that is critical thought off so as to the best solutions (Dul Ceylan, 2014). The creativity and innovation concept they go hand in hand, one cannot exists without the latter. There is no innovation without creativity. The creativity is idea to produce new ideas while innovation is implementation of the idea. These two concepts have been recognized as a sure way to success for any organization. Imagine creating and exploring new and unknown territories for the business. This will surely lead to the increased productivity of that particular organization (Bridge O'Neill, 2012). The best cost effective solution for the business is to encourage the employees to thi nk on the greater picture, by providing resources and time to explore on new places for the innovative ideas (Skarzynski Gibson, 2013). Personal reflection on doing the assignment On doing the assignment, I have been able to know a lot of concept. The foremost concept is creativity and innovation. There is a lot of research and different school of thought on these terms. The basic is creativity is the idea an individual has and innovation is how to implement that idea to be a product or a service. As was undertaking the research I found out that many organizations are adopting these concepts and it is the key to success of any organization in that they tend to offer competitive advantage over another. The strengths on this assignment is that I have learnt various individuals who have been innovative and how their innovation have played a significant role to the world. Moreover, have learnt that it is not necessary you have been born a genius to be a great innovator or to have a good idea. All it entails is to brainstorm and come up with an idea and aim at implementing it. I have not encountered challenged on the assignment as it a wide, and fun area of the res earch and I still to be innovative someday. Conclusion In this paper, it has explored on the concept of creativity and innovation for the individual and the organization success. It has elaborated further one cannot exists without the other. This is because creativity is formulation of the idea, and innovation is implementation of that idea to produce the product or the service. Furthermore, there was a need to research on the creativity and innovation at an individual level in order to highlight the challenges, the impact it has on a personal development level. The adoption of these terms has become the critical skills for achieving success for much organization that are doing well in the developed countries. In addition, the research has explored on the creative thinking, entrepreneurship and entrepreneur, and the implication of the creativity and innovation in the organization. References Audretsch, D.
